It's not over until the
fat lady sings

So now the curfew has been lifted. The peaceful protests crushed. The constitution scrapped....and prayuth, like the fat lady at the opera, is singing a song about being happy to signal the end of the event. But Prayuth is no fat lady (that's Sirikit) and this event is by no means over. And it won't be over until democracy is restored in Thailand, and a proper election is held nationwide. So he can stop singing.

Prayuth conveniently forgets that he is an illegitimate dictator. A uniformed criminal who has declared war against Thai people, the constitution and the nation. Until this thug is singing behind bars, resistance to the coup and Prayuth's junta will continue. That resistance will come from several sources: a resistance movement being organised by Jakrapob Penkair; ordinary Thais living abroad; and the anti-coup movements in Thailand.

The first of these resistance movements, this week said that it would "make history in Thailand". It is organising itself from abroad and may even declare a government in exile. Ordinary Thais resident abroad are also mobilising themselves to rescue Thailand from Prayuth's evil grip. Their tactic is to counter royalist propaganda through websites like NorporchorUSA, Facebook and Twitter.

Last but by no means least, the anti-coup movement within Thailand is not yet defeated and continues to resist, all be it in more subtle ways than before to avoid arrests. Meanwhile, the international community continues to criticise Prayuth Chan-ocha and his junta, many of whom are now barred from travelling abroad, and risk having their personal assets seized.

None of this information will be made public to ordinary Thai people, of course, neither on the army controlled TV channels nor the heavily censored press. The junta desperately wants Thais to remain ignorant to the truth. Secrecy and fear are Prayuth's main methods of repression.

Over the coming weeks, as the pro-democracy resistance movements position themselves for battle, large chinks will begin to appear in Prayuth's armour. Then, his royalist regime will start to unravel and a full-scale peaceful uprising against the Thai elite and their army will ensue.

Let's see how long "happy" Prayuth can keep singing.

Vote in our Skipper .....

Referendum!

With the death of king Bhumibol just around the corner, the issue of the succession is now a hot topic.

The choice presented to Thai people by the elite, is either Vajiralongkorn or Sirindhorn and  never includes the option of establishing a Thai Republic.

In this special Skipper referendum on the monarchy in Thailand, we offering Thai people the chance to vote on all three options, including a Republic.
