Royalist Thai groups spread their hate

The hate campaign against anti-coup activists living outside Thailand is intensifying, as online royalist groups target Chatwadee Rose Amornpat and other activists. A full report on these witch hunts can be found in Prachatai.

What's interesting about these cowardly attacks on Thai dissidents is the timing: just two weeks after the military took over in Thailand, and only a few days after general Prayuth Chan-ocha threatened to "protect" the Thai king.

Many of the victims of this royalist sect, are young people who are being targeted in the name of the Thai king. Perhaps because they have taken part in political activities or protests against the coup.

The boldness with which these pro-monarchy fanatics act is also quite shocking. They are probably aware that entering private property, painting on doors and threatening others with guns is a criminal offence in the UK.

So far, no word on these shameful attacks from the junta in Bangkok, but there will almost certainly be a political backlash from foreign countries where Thai activists are resident and from where they are being targeted.

fanatical

It's not the first time that a royalist mob has travelled to a foreign country with the intention of organising a protest, but these latest intimidation attempts are a worrying turn. A clear signal will have to be sent to Bangkok that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

Meanwhile in Thailand, the Ministry of Information Communication Technology (MICT) is known to work closely with fanatical royalist groups responsible for these hate campaigns. The link between the junta, the Thai king and the royalist criminals is clear for all to see.

Referendum!

With the death of king Bhumibol just around the corner, the issue of the succession is now a hot topic.

The choice presented to Thai people by the elite, is either Vajiralongkorn or Sirindhorn and  never includes the option of establishing a Thai Republic.

In this special Skipper referendum on the monarchy in Thailand, we are offering Thai people the chance to vote on all three options, including a Republic.

Second attack by Thai royalist against Chatwadee Rose Amornpat from Emilio Esteban on Vimeo.

Prachatai has just released a video showing a Thai woman calling herself Ann, who says she's a friend of Rose's ex. The woman in the video confirms Rose no longer lives in the house shown on the video.
