First, a plan will need to be formulated with perfect coordination. Those chosen to detain Prayuth and have him transferred to a secret location, must have the authority to carry out their orders. These orders must be issued in secret by senior Generals loyal to Thailand.
Prayuth commands little or no loyalty from his soldiers, so it is unlikely that force would need to be used at the moment of his arrest. The General must be taken alive and unharmed so that he can be put on trial and sentenced accordingly.
The legal charges against Prayuth should include treason, because his actions and the coup he organised can be considered harmful to the Thai nation. The trial should be public and televised on all TV networks.
An unlikely scenario? Not really. Prayuth has painted himself into a corner and unfortunately, has no Plan B. He has failed to convince Thai people that the coup is "good", and is incapable of lifting Marshal law for fear of massive protests sprouting again.
So just how long does the General think he can stay out of jail? By the looks of things, the General is gambling that by maintaining control of the media he can silence opposing voices. But the criticism on the internet keeps on coming. It's only a question of time before the junta loses this battle.

Ok, so what if Prayuth loses the propaganda war and anti-coup protestors take to the streets again? With Marshal law in place, such a scenario would be a nightmare for the General. Prayuth would be forced into giving his soldiers the order to shoot peaceful protestors just to stay in power, and that would lead to an army rebellion.
Faced with the prospect of deadly street protests and an army revolt, Prayuth's future looks more uncertain than ever. All the signs are that the coup has failed; proof of that is that Marshal law is still in place. General Prayuth is a scared man.
Time is now running against the General and his junta. The junta has lost control of the situation. The pressure is building up and up. When the dyke finally bursts, Prayuth may try to escape justice by heading north to Myanmar. He must not be allowed to escape.
Prayuth and those serving themselves in his illegal junta, must be brought to justice and democratic order restored in Thailand. There must be no escape routes open to the General. Prayuth will be arrested and he will be sentenced like the common criminal that he is.
